Description

  • Krymsk 1, also known as VVA-1, is a dwarfing plum rootstock that produces trees that are cold hardy and semi-dwarf in size. It’s a cross between the Prunus tomentosa and Prunus cerasifera, also known as the Chinese Bush Cherry and Myrobalan Plum, respectively.
  • Cold-hardy: Krymsk 1 is well-suited to areas with cold temperatures.
  • Improved fruit size: Krymsk 1 produces fruit that is larger than some other semi-dwarf plum rootstocks.
  • Precocious: Trees on Krymsk 1 start bearing fruit at a younger age, around 2-3 years.
